| "Have Faith" Hi everyone! Today I am sharing an art journaling piece I created for a recent class. I first started out by using some old music paper to collage the background. I used gel medium to do this. Next step was a coat of gesso with a dry brush - just to tone it down a little. I have now used gel medium to glue down my Dina Wakley collage face tissue paper. These tissue papers are just awesome and really quite strong! Now time for some stamping. I've used a Dyan Reaverley flower one.Time now for some stencilling and a little background stamping. Some 13@arts watercolour to finish her off ! I had so much fun creating this. Hope you like her !! thanks for visiting love Paige xo" |
This blog features Scrapbook layouts that I have have created and the occasional card. I hope you enjoy :)

Friends - Blossom Tree Creations DT layout
Hi everyone!
Here is a layout I created for Blossom Tree Creations
Today I have created a layout for Blossom Tree Creations.
I have used some Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals. "Cowabunga Copper " is one of my favourites. I love the way there are so many pretty colours in the one little pot. I have sprinkled a little magicals onto my page and then spritzed with water. Then the magic happens! I have added a little Mont Marte moulding paste through a stencil. Next I have cut a few strips from some scrap papers and a strip from an old book, added some sari ribbon and some plasterers tape I bought from Bunnings lol. Next I have added some of the beautiful handmade flowers from Linda at Blossom Tree they are amazing. I have used some Nuvo Crystal drops in "Rose" to cover my chipboard title.
I've added a photo of my friend Natalie May and I taken on our recent cruise with Australian Scrapbook and Craft Cruise.
Thanks for visiting me

Cool - a layout for boys!
Hi everyone !!
"COOL"
A layout created for a class at The Crafty Chain
Today I have created a layout with the fabulous Cocoa Vanilla Studios papers in the "Boys Rule" range. I just love love love their funky papers. They are so bright, fun and they make me happy !! To start this layout I have used the "Stuff" cut apart sheet, then I have matted the pieces in navy cardstock to make it pop! I have layered all the pieces using some foam tape to give it different dimensions onto the "Messed Up "paper. I have created some star die cuts and coloured them with some Tim Holtz Oxides 'Moved Lawn' and 'Salty Ocean'.I just put a little on my messy matt, spritzed with water and smooshed the stars into the ink. Then I have flicked some Heidi Swapp spray in Navy. Added my title and there you have it !! Such a cute photo of my son Fraser and his friend taken in Bali. How boys amuse themselves when you are shopping !! Thank you for visiting, Love Paige xo |

Moustache Man - Art Journalling
Hi everyone!!
This is my recent art jounaling page "Moustache Man" for The Crafty Chain.
A little vintage fun

I love my Dyan Reaveley art journal, its my favourite!!
I started by collecting random pieces of ephemera and collaging them onto my background with gel medium.
Adding some cream & Brown printed washi tapes, and stamping randomly with my Carabelle Studio "Collage Texte Grunge" and Archival in 'Black and Potting Soil' - if the stamping is not perfect, it creates more of a grungy background!!
I created a couple of tags with 'Ground Espresso' and 'Walnut Stain' in Distress Oxides by smooshing the ink on my messy mat, spritzing lightly and then swiping the tag through the liquids.
By folding a sheet of book print like a paper aeroplane then over in half in creates a faux envelope - a bit tricky... but super simple!!
The Moustache Man piece has been stamped onto a background of Alcohol Inks - a combination of Espresso, Rust and Caramel inks - adding some blending solution with a dauber to 'mix' the colours. "Evolution CMS262" stamp from Stampers Anonymous, which gives the perfect grungy stamped effect!!
I adhered an old remanant flower I picked up on a Vinnies visit and sprinkled some other paper flowers in shades of cream and brown... the final flourish was a rough textured piece of twine that was tied onto the larger tag!!
If you've been following me for awhile, you might know that 'Vintage' is not my usual style, it's always good to challenge yourself... so I did!!
I was happy with how the layers and mixed emdia elements all came together.
Thankyou for visiting,
Love, Paige xo
